President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to Address World Governments Summit 2025 in Dubai
Dubai, February 12 – Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is set to address the World Governments Summit 2025 today in Dubai, UAE. The summit, which began on February 11 under the theme "Shaping Future Governments," brings together over 150 countries to discuss governance, innovation, and global cooperation.
President Dissanayake departed for the UAE on February 10 at the invitation of UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During his visit, he is scheduled to hold bilateral discussions with UAE leaders, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE Vice President and Prime Minister. These talks will focus on strengthening ties and enhancing economic collaboration between the two nations.
Additionally, the Sri Lankan President is expected to engage with global business leaders in key industries such as Artificial Intelligence, Energy, Finance, and Tourism. This effort aims to attract foreign investments to Sri Lanka, supporting the country’s economic growth.
